  • B.Sc from F.C. College, Lahore.

  • M.A (English Literature) from Govt. College, Lahore.

  • L.L.B (Law) from S.M. College, Karachi.

  • M.Sc in (Administrative Sciences) from University of York, UK.

POSITIONS AND POSTINGS

  • Joined the Police Service of Pakistan as Assistant Superintendent Police (ASP) in December, 1973.

  • Promoted as Additional Superintendent Police in May 1978.

  • Posted as Superintendent Police (SP) in October 1978 and served at various locations in Sindh for 6 years.

  • Posted as Assistant Inspector General Police (AIG) in 1984 and served at different positions in Sindh for next five years.

  • Served as Director Finance with Civil Aviation Authority at Karachi for two years and then took over the post of Director General Federal Ombudsman at Karachi for the next two years.

  • In 1993 posted as Counselor at the Pakistan High Commission in London.

  • Returned back to Pakistan the next year to take charge as Director of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Karachi.

  • Posted as DIG Police Quetta Range in 1997 and served in Baluchistan till 2000.

  • Posted back to Sindh and promoted as Additional Inspector General Police (Addl. IGP) and served there till June, 2007.

  • Joined Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) as Managing Director in June, 2007.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING, COURSES, CONFERENCES AND SEMINARS ATTENDED

  • Received professional training in Management, Accounting, Secretariat procedures and from time to time attended various courses on Police matters from Institutes in Pakistan and U.K.

  • Participated in many international seminars and conferences all over the world on Aviation, Terrorism, Arms Control, Migration, Violence against women and attended a number of sessions of the Political Platform of the Council of Europe on Migration.
